Our Humble Beginnings
It all started with a small shop in Sydney, Australia. As avid travellers and lovers of design, our founders were disappointed by the lack of quality, style and value in kitchen and dining products. Seeing a gap in the market, they decided to launch Maxwell & Williams to provide beautiful, design-led pieces that wouldn’t break the bank.
Our first ranges focused on dinnerware – stylish plates, bowls, mugs and more. Offering contemporary shapes and patterns in porcelain and stoneware, it struck a chord with Aussie homes looking for affordable, on-trend collections.
As we grew, our passion for design led us to collaborate with talented artists and designers from across the globe. Their unique styles helped us to launch hundreds of distinctive ranges over the years – from colourful florals to minimalist monochrome.
Growing To The UK
From small beginnings down under, it wasn’t long before Maxwell & Williams made the leap across the seas to British shores. We opened our UK offices in 2009, bringing our mission to transform tables to homes across the nation.
Our exclusive collections in signature porcelain and stoneware have been brightening up UK kitchens and dining rooms ever since. Today you’ll find our products gracing stylish homes, as well as luxury hotels and restaurants across the country.

- Porcelain – pure white porcelain renowned for its strength, translucency and ability to retain heat. Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe up to 250°C/482°F.
- Stoneware – durable glazed stoneware that’s chip resistant and ideal for daily use. Oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.
- Glass – specialist borosilicate glass crafted into our Lovello drinkware and accessories. Durable and thermal shock resistant.
